Description

In the demanding environment of concrete roof tile production, every component must survive a relentless cycle of extreme abrasive forces and mechanical stress. At WELSCH, we specialize in composite tool construction and hardened guide systems, mastering the delicate equilibrium of metallurgy to ensure your machine's backbone remains perfectly linear.

We utilize four distinct manufacturing philosophies depending on the application. The Ultra-Bonded Brazed Series features a heavy-duty body of chrome-manganese or carbon steel with precision-milled grooves, where we silver-braze tungsten carbide blades followed by precision-grinding. This is our most robust solution for longitudinal tools up to 1,200 mm, creating a molecular bond that handles massive shear forces. The Vibration-Dampened Bonded Series uses advanced structural adhesive technology, where the adhesive layer acts as a microscopic shock absorber, preserving the original tension and grain structure by avoiding brazing heat. The Heavy-Duty Mechanical-Lock Series features extra-deep grooves housing solid hard metal blocks that are mechanically screwed and precision-ground, providing maximum material depth and extreme security for large-volume tools.

For Precision Machine Beds and Guide Rails, we manufacture from high-alloyed tool steel. Depending on the load profile, components up to 1,200 mm and beyond are either vacuum-hardened or case-hardened for superior surface density. Every rail and bed is precision-ground to micro-tolerances after the hardening process to ensure perfect linearity. The high-alloyed steel prevents the pitting and grooving common in standard rails, ensuring your pallet drive remains perfectly level and the extrusion head maintains a constant gap. We offer induction hardening for workpieces up to 5,300 mm in length.

Frequently Asked Questions

Brazing creates a molecular bond for maximum pull-out resistance and thermal stability. Bonding uses structural adhesive as a shock absorber, preserving grain structure and preventing warping in long tools.
For extremely abrasive mixes and impact components. Solid hard metal blocks provide maximum wear depth and can be individually replaced during maintenance cycles.
Standard rails suffer pitting and grooving under the abrasive forces of concrete production. Our high-alloyed vacuum-hardened steel maintains perfect linearity for millions of cycles.
