Description

The industry has long relied on the classic rotary brush oiler (Sumal-style). However, these systems are built on a fundamental geometric flaw: they attempt to cover a three-dimensional contour with a two-dimensional, down-falling droplet curtain.

When a cylindrical horizontal applicator spins, it creates a vertical rain of oil. While this may suffice for flat surfaces, it fails on modern roof tile pallets with high mountains and deep valleys. At WELSCH, we have solved the geometry of the pallet. Our oiling fortress replaces the vertical curtain with a multi-axis coating strategy, ensuring that every contour, no matter how deep the valley, receives the surgical application required for a perfect release.

The Shielding Effect:
The peaks of the pallet profile act as a shield, blocking the vertical droplets from reaching the base of the valleys.
Dry Slopes:
Because the oil falls vertically, the climbings and descendings (the steep vertical wedges) receive almost no direct coverage.
The Mistake of Gravity:
At 150 TPM, air turbulence further pushes the two-dimensional curtain away from the steep slopes, leaving the most critical release zones dry and prone to concrete plucking.

WELSCH has officially solved the two-dimensional shadow issue. We don't ask gravity to do the work of an engineer. Instead of a single, flat curtain, the ContiAct® Rotary Brush Oil Applicator (2nd generation) utilizes a sophisticated multi-vector approach. By precisely calculating the trajectory of every droplet, we ensure that the leading and trailing edges of even the most aggressive tile profiles are fully coated. No shadows, no dry spots, and no wasted oil, just a perfect, engineered interface for your concrete.

The Primary Curtain Head:
Provides the foundation layer for all horizontal peaks and flat zones.
The Slope-Specialist Head:
A secondary applicator specifically positioned and tuned to target the climbings and descendings. This head wraps the release agent around the vertical wedges, ensuring that the slopes receive the same micron-level film as the peaks.

By moving from a two-dimensional curtain to a three-dimensional saturation logic, we ensure: Zero Shadow Zones with 100 percent coverage, even on the deepest Double Roman or Bold Roll profiles. Flawless Release with no more concrete sticking on the vertical wedges. Consistent Quality with a perfect tile underside, even at the highest production velocities.

The second biggest flaw in traditional applicators is the adjustment process. To change the oil film gap between the two shafts, an operator usually has to stop the line, open the unit, dismantle it, and manually adjust copper bushings. Our Innovation: We have engineered an external adjustment mechanism. You can now calibrate the internal oil film gap with surgical accuracy from the outside of the machine. No dismantling, no mess, and no lost production time. It is faster, safer, and significantly more accurate than any traditional bushing system.

The Horizontal Standard:
A high-efficiency cylindrical head in stainless steel housing for flat pallets
The Dual-Head Professional:
Featuring a primary curtain head and a specialized secondary head for the climbings and descendings of high-mountain profiles
The Verge Specialist:
A vertical head designed to work against gravitation, spinning a perfect droplet curtain onto the fenders of verge pallets

The WELSCH ContiAct® Rotary Brush Oil Applicator is not just a component; it is a fully integrated, automated system designed for 24/7 industrial production. Featuring integrated storage with level control, a submerged oil pump, precision flowmeters, and a dedicated electric control unit, it is the heartbeat of a clean wet-side.

We utilize a proven, non-contact centrifugal principle to flick a consistent droplet curtain onto the pallet. Because we do not atomize the oil under high pressure, there is no oil fog. This allows you to eliminate the investment and energy costs of a mist-filtration system while keeping your plant floor clean and safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Conventional systems use a vertical droplet curtain that creates shadow zones on complex 3D profiles. Our multi-vector approach with primary curtain head and slope-specialist head fully coats even the steepest slopes, including Double Roman and Bold Roll profiles.
Unlike traditional systems that require disassembly, our solution allows you to calibrate the oil film gap with surgical accuracy from the outside. No dismantling, no mess, and no lost production time.
We use a non-contact centrifugal principle that flings the droplets rather than atomizing under high pressure. No fog means: no filtration needed, clean plant floors, and lower operating costs.
