Description

In laminate flooring production, the planks are milled using double-end profilers. The core of each profiler is a high-precision, application-specific linear conveyor system, consisting of synchronously circulating rolling block link chains, guide rails, and deflection plates. The guide rails define the exact direction of travel for the chain and ensure the necessary precision. The deflection plates (discs, shields) ensure that the rolling block link chain is smoothly and precisely transferred at the end of the long guide rail from the processing level (the upper run, where the laminate is processed) to the return level (the lower run) and vice versa.

Every deflection plate (disc, shield) from WELSCH INDUSTRIAL is a precision component. Its shape is typically parabolic or semicircular to optimally distribute the tensile forces and bending of the chain during changes in direction. This prevents excessive point loading and deformation of the chain links and chain plates. Although the laminate plank is not processed directly on the guide plates, their precise alignment is crucial. Inaccurate guidance could lead to chain flutter or impacts, negatively affecting the overall feed accuracy of the chain and reducing the lifespan of the links.

Due to the high mechanical stress and wear caused by the constant movement of the chain, our guide plates are manufactured from carefully selected, high-alloy, hardened, and precision-ground tool steels.
